Must be 18+ to volunteer during distribution. Wear closed-toe shoes, dress weather appropriately and bring sunscreen.
Pre Distribution Volunteer Opportunities

Pre-Distribution Volunteer Shifts & Position Descriptions

  • Fairgrounds Made Merry: Decorate the Fairgrounds for the United Way Holiday Project with Christmas lights, wreaths, trees, etc.
  • iHeartRadio Gifts & Guitars Event: Oversee the guitar auction, collect donated toys, and assist in loading them onto the box truck.
  • Toy Pickup: Join staff and volunteers to help collect items from businesses and neighborhoods.
  • Toy Sorting: Prepare for distribution days by appropriately categorizing and organizing toys.
Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Position Descriptions

  • Shopper: Assist clients in selecting toys.
  • Bike Raffle: Assist clients in the bike raffle process.
  • Bike Pickup Area: Manage the bike pickup area and verify wristbands for winners
  • Checkout Area: Includes bagging toys, stuffing stockings, securing bikes (if won), walking clients to their cars, loading vehicles, loading food and more. (You will be assigned to this overall area)  
  • Parking Attendant: Guide clients and volunteers to parking areas. This position involves standing outdoors without cover.
  • Toy Restocking: Process toy deliveries and restock tables.
  • Table Attendant: Monitor toy tables and assist shoppers/clients.
  • Floater/Translator: Use me where you need me! Bilingual volunteers encouraged.
