Noreen Fisher joins Muffin Adamiak as Co-Chair of UWMC’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society
Noreen Fisher has accepted the role of Co-Chair of United Way of Martin County’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Fisher will serve in the role alongside Muffin Adamiak, who has served as a Co-Chair of the Tocqueville Society for the past three years with Richard Dakers.
Fisher is a long-time supporter of United Way, having co-chaired the United Way campaign in her northern community. She is also a past president of the Martin County Library Foundation and is active in many local committees, including the Sailfish Point Property Owners Association. “We look forward to working side-by-side as we continue to expand the Tocqueville Society and its philanthropic impact in Martin County,” said Fisher. The Alexis de Tocqueville Society is United Way’s most prestigious and nationally recognized giving society.
The Tocqueville Society recognizes local philanthropic leaders and champions who give $10,000 or more annually. Currently, United Way Worldwide recognizes nearly 25,000 members. United Way of Martin County’s Tocqueville Society has nearly 80 members and raises more than half of its annual campaign. In addition, after several years of increased engagement with United Way of Martin County and seeing first-hand the impact it has in the community, Adamiak has joined the United Way of Martin County Board of Directors. “I believe in its mission and vision and am honored to represent the Tocqueville Society at the Board level,” said Adamiak.
