United Way of Martin County is proud to announce that Andy and Lorraine Popky have been selected as the Alexis de Tocqueville Outstanding Philanthropist Award recipients. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the community through their philanthropy and dedication to improving the lives of others.
Residents of Piper’s Landing Yacht and Country Club, Andy and Lorraine Popky have been active members of the Martin County community for many years, and their generosity and commitment to giving back have had a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals and families. Through their support of United Way and numerous other charitable organizations, the Popkys have demonstrated their deep concern for the well-being and prosperity of their neighbors and their commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant community.

The United Way of Martin County Alexis de Tocqueville Society is made up of individuals who have committed to making a significant investment in the future of Martin County – they set the standard for charitable giving. Their generosity collectively represents 40 percent of United Way of Martin County's annual campaign, with gifts totaling more than $1.4 million.
